After a few
years of college life, and many other adventures, I came
back to sewing in the quiet of my home as personal therapy
and as a creative outlet. I made many home décor items for
my house and began piecing quilt tops. I connected with
Camp Tecumseh’s
Quilt Camp during that time and am now in my 16th year of
sewing quilt tops. I love challenge, color, texture and
design. I have over
30 years experience working with children and teenagers.
Those experiences are varied. I have taught Sunday School,
directed and counseled at summer camps, taught VBS, directed
and led youth adventure trips: backpacking, canoeing,
sailing and whitewater rafting. And now I live with, love
and raise my own three children along with my husband.
I have two
undergraduate degrees. One degree is in Theology and
Ministry, the other is a Bachelor of Arts in Physical
Education and Recreation. |
