Hi, I’m Cindy. I am a stay at home mom enjoying the challenges and thrills of raising three wonderful children. As my children grow older and become more independent I desire to share my experience, training and influence with others outside our home.

One of my passions and values in life is to create. I regularly have what I call “creative urges”. If I can create things that are useful, artistic and durable, they have a quality about them that becomes somewhat life like. I love to sew.

I grew up on a farm in Western Canada and inside that farmhouse is where I learned to sew. I learned from my mother who worked long into the night sewing our little outfits so we would look our finest. As we grew older she would take us to the local fabric store and let us pick out our favorite fabric and notions. And the journey began. I started making skirts and eventually made a lot of my own clothes for each new school year.

After a few years of college life, and many other adventures, I came back to sewing in the quiet of my home as personal therapy and as a creative outlet. I made many home décor items for my house and began piecing quilt tops. I connected with Camp Tecumseh’s Quilt Camp during that time and am now in my 16th year of sewing quilt tops. I love challenge, color, texture and design.

I have over 30 years experience working with children and teenagers. Those experiences are varied. I have taught Sunday School, directed and counseled at summer camps, taught VBS, directed and led youth adventure trips: backpacking, canoeing, sailing and whitewater rafting. And now I live with, love and raise my own three children along with my husband.

I have two undergraduate degrees. One degree is in Theology and Ministry, the other is a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Recreation.
